First Snow of the Winter- Oct. 19, 2015

Hey everyone, this week has been great. Yeah it snowed on Saturday but it didn't stick.

Monday: Was our P-day so we did our normal stuff and then we to a town called Dryden to have dinner with a family. We are starting to teach her daughter Abbi. She is 9 and she wants to be baptized so bad. The lesson we taught was about prayer. It was a great lesson. We talked about when we pray and how we pray. The spirit was so strong.

Tuesday: We got to email. Then we went to Peggy's house. They are home so we helped her to get her flowers in before it frosted. It was great. She loves her flowers and we love to help her. Then we went and saw Erik. He was our Recent Convert. We talked to him about the Temple and how sacred it is and how we can feel the spirit and Gods love for us. It was a great lesson. He is very interested in the family history and taking names to the temple.

Wednesday: Was zone meeting. Our zone is so big now. We have 16 Elders and 14 Sisters in our zone. I didn't get a picture but it was cool. We talked about Mission culture and the Michigan Culture. It was great. I learned a lot about our culture as missionaries and how we need to follow our culture. We also talked about Goals for the Mission and how we as a zone can become better and work towards our goals. After that we met with Bill. We read 2 Nephi 5 with him. He is doing good.

Thursday: We went back to Peggy's to finish her flowers. It was great helping her get everything organized and ready for the winter. After that we went to ward correlation and discussed our investigators and the people we are working with. After that we met with Arlene. We talked about the Plan of Salvation. We used this visual of the Plan of Salvation and she really liked it. This is one of my favorite lessons to teach people. They are so excited to know where we can go and how they can get there.

Friday: We did our weekly planning. After that we went and saw Bill. We talked about the talk "Ask in Faith" by Elder Bednar. This is a great talk. If you haven't read it, you should do so. It talks about asking in faith and God will provide a way. I really like this talk and it related so much to his situation.

Saturday: We went to Metamora and saw Diane. We talked to her about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She really understands the gospel and wants to make a change in her life to become better. The lesson was so spiritual. The member we took helped us and the spirit was so strong. Then we headed to Almont to see Holly. We talked about the talk from women's conference" Great Aunt Rose". This is another great talk. We talked about how we need to take our trails in life and turn to God. We need to not carry our trials alone. It really hit home for Holly. She loved this talk.

Sunday: Was a great Sabbath. We talked about how we need to Cheer up and turn to our Faith. We need to lean on God to help us and the prophet to show us the way. In Relief Society we talked about Leadership and how we all have some kind of leadership in the ward. We talked about becoming a leader and to stand up for what we believe.

Well I hope you all have a great week!!
