Week 6
Hello Everyone,

This week has been a lot of fun. Lots of great miracles and teaching experiences.

Monday: Was our P-day, we went shopping and decided to buy some small steaks. We have a grill in our backyard so we decided to grill some steaks. We had a great time figuring out how to start the grill and to turn the burner on. The steaks turned out great.

Tuesday: We went and met with Dan our investigator. We taught him about hope in Christ. We showed him the Mormon Message on The Hope of Gods Light. It was a very inspirational message and he loved it. I cant believe the change you can see in everyone's life's as they are turning to Christ. It is amazing and so spiritual. Later that night we went to our Relief Societies Simply Sisters. We learned Self Defense. We even tried practicing it out on each other. It was a lot of fun.

Wednesday: We had Zone Meeting. I love all the meetings, they are so great and spiritual. At zone meeting some of the topics we talked about was teaching by understanding, personal revelation, and becoming a successful missionary. I really enjoyed learning and applying the many different door approaches we can use at the door steps. It was a lot of fun. Later we met with our Less active family and taught them how to strengthen their family with family blocks. It was so much fun, they had a great time learning how they can become closer as a family.

Thursday: Today we went and did some service. We helped a family in the ward paint one of their bedrooms, It was so much fun. We had a great time. After that we went and had lunch at the park. It was a nice warm day to sit outside. After that we went and visited with one of our other less actives. We taught him about coming to the temple. He also met with the bishop and is working towards coming to the temple. It is amazing to see the change in his life to become worthy to come to the temple.

Friday: We did some more Service. We helped a elderly couple in our ward rake some leaves and to pick up their back yard, It is so great to serve people. I love seeing them so happy and receive blessings for helping those that need it.

Saturday: Was a busy day. We had inspections for our house. We then went to see lots of potential investigators. That night we received Transfer Calls. Yeah that was scary. Well I am not leaving. I am staying in Adrian. Sister Woodruff and I are staying. Sis Cherrington is leaving.

Sunday: It was a tough day, we were all emotional from transfer calls and then Sis Cherrington sang a musical number. It was very spiritual. Then we went and met 5 new investigators. It was a great day.

Well I love you all and hope you all have a great week.

Hello Everyone, This week has been quite an adventure!!

Monday: we did our normal cleaning, shopping, and relaxing. We then went and taught a less active family about family bonding and strengths. We used family blocks. It was a lot of fun. The family enjoyed the lesson and found ways to help build their family relationship.

Tuesday: Today we has new Missionary Training. We had to get up early and get ready because we leave about 2 and 1/2 hrs away from the mission home. At training President Gerber talked about the Hymn High on the Mountain Top. He told us that song is the vision that Isaiah and Brigham young had of the Salt lake valley. It was an amazing story and realization of the great hymn. At training I also learned to dedicate yourself to the lord and become converted into the lord. I really liked learning how to become converted unto the lord.

Wednesday: We met with our investigator Dan to see how he was doing. He is doing so great. We visited with him about overcoming his addictions to become baptized. He has changed so much since I have been here. He wants to become converted to the Lord. He has changed to improve his relationship with God. It is amazing to see how someone changes their lives to become like Christ. We also had Mission Interviews. President Gerber talked to me about adjusting to missionary life and how to adjust study time to become effective. I love learning how to better my studies and to rely on the Holy Ghost.

Thursday: Today I learned a lot about progression. I learned it takes time. It doesn't just happen all of a sudden. We were able to meet a couple great potential investigators. We went to dinner with a couple members to a Mexican restaurant. It was pretty good. After dinner we got a Tornado Warning. Sirens were going off and everyone kept telling us to go inside. Well that was pretty scary. Anyways, we went to a members house, the Evans called us and we hurried to their house. We stayed in their basement for about 1 hr or so. Then we were safe to go outside. President and Sister Gerber called us and told us to head home for the night. So we got to study for the rest of the night. It was a lot of fun.

Friday: Today was our weekly planning. I cant believe that we have been here for 6 weeks. Transfers are next week and none of us want to be transferred, but it is in Gods Hands. Anyways, today we did a ton of service for people it was great. We helped with a less active member organize her house and help organize her kids toys. It was fun. I love serving others. It makes us feel great and feel the spirit.

Saturday: We had a couple appointments and then went finding. While we were finding, we noticed some people doing yard work. We were able to talk with them and help them clean up their yard. It was amazing to see how willing people were to let us help. We then had dinner at the Evans and it was great. After Dinner we had a members baptism. Rowland was baptized and confirmed. It was an amazing service and lots of people were there. The spirit was so strong to see how he could become a new man.

Sunday: Well today was my first Fast Sunday here in Michigan. It was amazing and very spiritual. I was able to fast with a purpose and was able to feel the spirit so much more. We then went and met with one of our potentials and taught them about the Restoration. The lesson went really well. I cant wait until we get to meet with them again.

Well that was my week. I hope you are all doing great. I love you all and hope you are having a great week.

The little kids had a lot of fun.

Tuesday: We met with Dan at a members house and taught him about the Law of Chasity. We also helped him to understand the Word of Wisdom that he had struggled with and that he understood that it was because of Satan is trying to pull him down because of his decision to be baptized. It was such a spiritual experience. We them met with Bill our less active who has been struggling with forgiveness. We showed him a Mormon Message and it was so spiritual and he committed to a date to forget and forgive his father to move on. After that we helped the Giffords with a service project. We helped them reef their leaves and clean up their yard. It was a great experience to serve others.

We then went and helped move in a new family to our ward. We helped them with boxes and to feel the love of our ward members.

Thursday: We got to go to the Temple. The Detroit Michigan Temple. It was such an amazing experience. We had to get up early to leave because it takes 2 and 1/2 hrs to get to the temple. The Detroit temple is a small temple but it is so beautiful. I just loved it. We didn't want to leave. We also met with Brother Jeffery. Saturday: We first had breakfast with Bro and Sis Hood. They then had a Easter activity for us to do which was decorating Easter cookies. It was a lot of fun. General Conference. I loved listening to the Apostles and Prophet. One of the many favorite talks I loved in the morning session was President Eyrings talk on the Law of the Fast. He said that through the Law of Fast, we can be healed and be able to have change in our hearts. In the afternoon session, my favorite talk was Wilford W Anderson and his talk on learning to dance with our minds and hearing the music with our hearts. He also said to keep our life's a tune for spiritual frequency. I also really like President Bednars talk on Fear. I like how he said refrain from our fears and to look unto Christ with Godly Fear.

Sunday: It started with General Conference. The morning session was incredible one of my favorite talks was Rosemary M Wixom. She talked about praying to God and asking for courage and light to listen. In the Afternoon session I really liked Kevin W Pearson's talk on to liken Lehi's dream unto our own life's and the principles to endure to the end.

Well I hope you all Loved Conference and are having a great week.
