June 27, 2016-  16 Month Mark!!!!

Hey everyone! This last week has been great! I hit my 16 month mark. It is crazy! It seems like I just got on my mission a couple months ago.
Well This week we mostly did a lot of finding and tracting. It was good. We met with our investigator Robyn. We talked about church and trusting in God and things will work out. She knows that God answers prayers and that he will help her.
We also met with Sister Delossantos. We helped her with some activities for her children. We colored them and now we are going to make them for them to do. We also talked about how she is doing and her coming to church. She is doing good.
Yesterday, we had our Missionary dessert night. We had a lot of people come out. We had to make desserts with ice cream. We did caramel popcorn with home aid Ice cream sandwiches with chocolate chip cookies. It was fun. The Elders did Root beer floats. It was fun!
Other then that we have had a quiet week with lots of knocking on doors and finding new people to teach. Tomorrow we meet our new Mission President and Sister Cleveland. We are excited.
Well I hope you all have a great 4th of July!
Love you all!

June 20, 2016- Transfers!!!

Hey Everyone! Happy Late Fathers Day to all you Fathers!

So I am not getting transferred! I am staying here in Grand Blanc South with Sister Estioko! It will be great! We are excited!

This last week has been great! We have been doing a lot of finding. We Walked around for a while but then God blessed us. We were able to find a new investigator. His name is Jesson. He was a media referral.  He is a bit slower and has some very different beliefs but he is interested in learning and reading the Book of Mormon. We will be meeting with him and teaching him about the Book of Mormon this week.

This week we also met Chelsea, she is a potential. She believes in God and Christ and goes to the 7 day Adventist Church. We met with her today and she is interested in us coming back. We talked with her about how the gospel can bless her family and how we are here in families for a reason. She really liked that and found it interesting.

We also were able to help with a service project with Sister Henrie. We cleaned a Less Actives house. It was great to help serve her.

This last week we also met with the Schopper family. We talked with them about how God is our heavenly father and how we need to communicate with him through prayer. We talked about how God loves to help us and we need to turn to him. It was a great lesson.

Yesterday we met with Megan. She is a Less Active. We got to know her and talked with her about church. She came to church yesterday. It was good to see her. She is having a hard time but she knows God will help her through it. Other then that it has been a great week of finding new investigators and working with Less Actives.

I am doing great. In Studies I have been reading the talk" Approaching the Throne of God with Confidence."I really like this talk.  It talks about how we need to apply the atonement everyday and how the decision to change is ours.

Here is my Ponderzing Scripture for the week!

Romans 1:16- Not being ashamed of the Gospel of Christ.

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Well I hope you all have a great week!

June 13, 2016- Week 6 of the transfer!!!

Hey everyone! I hope you are having a great summer!

This last week has been a little bit slower. We have been doing a lot of finding. We are looking to find some new investigators. We talked to several potentials but no one was really that interested in learning more. We are going through old potentials and former investigators to see who would still be interested.

Last Monday for P-Day our District went to Flint to see the Sloan Museum. It was really cool. It has life sized bugs that moved and then also so antique stuff. It was really fun.

We were also able to see Robyn Ames. She is doing good. We went to her lesson with the Do or Die lesson. We talked to her about trusting in God and read 2 Nephi 4:34-35 with her. She really understood it and when we talked about why we need to trust in God, she answered because that is the only way. It was great. She is having some family problems but we invited her to Pray and ask God for help. Praying and asking God always is the way.

We also saw Sister Delossantos, we talked to her about her scripture reading and her prayers. She has been reading and praying. It has made a difference in her life. She said it has made her calmer and not so stressed with the kids. It is great. She also came to church and she had a really good time.

Well this week we met a born again christian, They just believe that they need to say they accept Christ in their life and they are saved. Anyways, he was telling us that we were wrong and that we were preaching false doctrine. Then he pretty much told us we were going to Hell. That was fun! That was our adventure of the week!

We also had our dessert night last night. It went great.  A Less active family that the Elders are working with came and had a great time. We made a dessert with jello and rice crispies. It looked like a beach with water and sand, We also used sour patch kids and Swedish fish and sharks in the water. It was a lot of fun! I will send a picture when I get it.

I am doing great! I cant believe that this is week 6, it is scary how fast it goes by. In studies I have been studying the talk" Qualifications of the Work" It is a great talk. I have learned so much. It talks a lot about having faith and you cant have faith and doubt or fear.

Well I hope you all have a great week!

June 6, 2016- Grand Blanc Dessert Night with the Missionaries!

Hey everyone! I hope you are having a great week!

Our  last week has been great! On Monday for Memorial Day, we had a BBQ with Sister Schopper and her 2 kids, JO JO and Lilly. Then we played the game Life with them. It was a lot of fun.

Then later that week we met with Sister Schopper, who is a Less Active, we talked to her about her conversion and then watched a video with her about missionary service. It was great! She is progressing to coming back to church!

On Tuesday, it was our last Zone Conference with President and Sister Gerber, It was a great meeting but very sad. We talked about helping other come unto Christ and becoming better and effective missionaries. We also did a lot of practices to help us with discerning peoples needs.

Then we went on exchanges! I stayed here in Grand Blanc and Sister Edmonds  came here. It was great! It was like the MTC all over again. We went finding and found 3 new potential investigators! It was great! Then we went and met with a Less Active, Sister Delossantos. She is having a hard time but it doing alright. We are helping her to apply the Atonement in her life. She really liked the video we showed her.

While we were finding we met Jacob. He is looking to make a change in his life. He wants to learn more about the Gospel. We taught him the Restoration. He really understood it and wanted to read the Book of Mormon. He desires to change his life to follow Christ. He is a miracle from God.

On Saturday we helped with the Priesthood Restoration Service day! It was a lot of fun! We first had breakfast and then we helped families in the ward with some service. We helped weed and clean a families yard.

On Sunday, we held a Dessert Night with the Missionaries. We invited our Investigators, Less Active and Part Member families in the ward to come. Sister Mickle and her family came. The Elders made a dessert and then we made a dessert and then the member, investigators and recent converts voted to see who's was better! We won! They had a really good time. We had a spiritual lesson and then a activity. I am doing great! I cant believe how time is going faster and faster. In studies I am studying Christlike attributes, this  last week I have been studying Temperance. I have learned a lot about being temperate and patient in all things. Well Have a great week!!!
