1 Year On My Mission- Feb. 29, 2016

Hey everyone, I hope you are all having a great week!!

This week has been great. The first of the week the weather was great. nice and warm.. Then it snowed. But anyways, we were able to meet several new potential investigators. We went contacting and met a lady named Sharon. She has met with the Sister Missionaries before but then they lost contact. She was really excited to meet us and told us that she will call us this week. It was great. Bill Rose is doing good. We are almost about done teaching the new member lessons. He is remembering them so that is good. He is reading and understanding the Book of Mormon more and more. He likes to read it out loud with us. He says he understands it better. Bill and Laura are doing alright. We had a member present lesson with them this week and talked about Church. They don't want to come to church until they are ready and they just pretty much want to learn our beliefs. It is sad because we know how this can bless them. We are going to keep trying to get them to come. This week was also my 1 year mark. Time goes by too fast. We had a cake, went to Hungry Howie's for lunch and had Tim Horton's Timbits. It was good. We also met with one of the Recent Converts Erik. It was his birthday so we shared some of the cake we made with him. He liked the cake. On Sunday we had a young man named Jake Huffaker give his farewell talk. It was great. It was on the Atonement and Gods love for each of us. It was great. We also were able to teach Sister Robertson with her visiting teacher. We talked about her ponderizing a scripture each week. She really liked to do that. She opened up a lot about how by studying it, it helps with her day. It was a great lesson.
I would like to invite all of you to ponderizing a scripture each week. It really helps to think about and have when we are down or need a lift up. I know it can help each of us. It has helped me to feel of Gods love for me and to feel closer to him.

Ponderizing Scripture:
Helaman 5:12- rock of our Redeemer,
This scripture is great. It talks about building our foundation on Christ, We need to have a sure foundation so when Satan tries to pull us down we can be lifted by Christ.

Well I hope you all have a great week!!

Love you all!!

60 Degree Weather!!!- Feb. 22, 2016

Hey everyone!!! I hope you all had a great week!!!

This week has been great. We have seen a lot of miracles. Bill and Laura are doing great. They still have many questions but we have been able to help to better understand. We taught them the plan of Salvation. They were really interested in the Pre-Existence. They didn't think we lived together before we came to this earth. We were able to help understand that we all have a purpose in this life. They are progressing a lot lately. We also were able to see Sister Heikkinen and Sister Robertson. They are both Less Active. They are doing good. Sister Heikkinen is in a lot of pain but we are helping her to stop drinking coffee and to come to church. She is doing good. We read a talk about trusting in God. She really liked it. Sister Robertson is really busy with work. She is now working more and is really tired. We are working with them to teach them how to put God first and then the rest will work out. Bill Rose is doing good. He has a part in the Easter Program that he is supper excited for. He will be reading some things. This week we were also able to meet with Erik Kellstrom, he was baptized last year. We talked with him about the Book of Mormon and prayer. He is doing great. He is reading and praying. We were also able to meet with Sister Klobucar. She is a Less Active. It was great to meet her and to get to know her. We will see them both this week. We also had Specialized Training this last week with President and Sister Gerber. They talked with us about Alma 13 and our calling and how we need to use our talents and abilities to find Gods children. It was great. We also talked about become effective missionaries. I love meetings. The Spirit is always so strong.

Ponderizing Scripture: Alma 41:10- This scripture talks about how wickedness never was happiness. We need to continually do good and turn to God for help.

D&C 88: 123-124- This scripture talks about Loving One Another. We need ot have love for everyone.

Well I hope you all have a great week!!

Happy Valentine’s Day Yesterday- Feb. 15, 2016

Hey Everyone!!

I hope you all had a great Valentine's day!! We had a good time. We went to a members house. We had dinner and everything was pink and red!! It was fun!!! This week has been great. We were able to meet with our investigators Bill and Laura. They are progressing just great. They love the Book of Mormon and want to learn more. We taught them about the Restoration. That went good. They had many questions but we with the spirit are able to answer them. Bill Rose our Recent Convert is doing great. He reading and understanding everything that we teach him. He is remembering the lessons. We have been able to see many miracles with many people wanting to learn more. This week we were able to find 2 new potential Investigators. Their names are Kevin and Sally. We talked to them about the Book of Mormon and the Restoration. They are interested in learning more. We are excited to go and teach them more. This week we also had district meeting and we were taught about focusing on our mission and our purpose. We also Talked about Charity. Charity is the pure love of Christ. I learned a lot about charity and how to develop it. On Sunday, the speakers also talked about Charity so it must be something that we all needed to hear. Snow has finally hit Michigan. It is also really cold. On Saturday, we were only allowed to go outside for 10 minutes and then back to the car or an appointment because the temperature was cold and we could get frostbite. It was cold, luckily we had a lot of appointments so we weren't out in it.

Well I hope you all have a great week!!!

Ponderizing Scripture: Alma 37:35. Learn early to Keep the commandments of God. The Commandments are here to give us blessings.

Love you all!!

Feb. 8, 2016- Transfers

Hey Everyone.

So I am staying in Oxford. Lapeer South Area with Sister Ili. This transfer is going to be great. We are excited to stay together.

This week has been great. We have seen many miracles. We were able to talk to many different people and to be able to teach lessons at peoples door steps.  This week we were also able to meet 2 new investigators. They are great. Their names are Bill and Laura. They are interested in the Book of Mormon. We had an appointment with them and we taught them all about the Book of Mormon. They had a few questions but are very excited to read it. The lesson went great and the spirit was so strong. They have heard of Joseph Smith and Bingham Young so that was interesting. We are excited to go and see them this week. We were also able to see many new potential investigators as well. We will be seeing them this week. Bill Rose is doing great. He is reading and really excited to be involved in the Easter Program. He will be reading a part of the program. We also had Zone Meeting this week. I love meetings where we are learning how to become better missionaries. We learned about our purpose and how we need to follow the spirit in finding and bringing people unto Christ. It was a great meeting. In studies I have been reading about Alma 17. This is one of my favorite Scripture chapters. I really love how it talks a lot about missionary work. I have been studying it more and more to learn how I can become a better missionary.
Well I hope you all have a great week!!!

It’s February already!!!- Feb. 1, 2016

Hey Everyone!! I cant believe that it is February!! It is crazy how time flies.

This week has been great. We have meet several potential Investigators. We have seen miracles this week. Our investigator Peggy is really busy right now so she is not reading or praying. We are hoping to see her this week to teach her about prayer and the importance of the Book of Mormon.  On Sunday we had Sister Clark, she is a Less Active come to church, It was a surprise. She has been in and out of the Hospital so we haven't been able to meet with her. She really enjoyed church and she was happy to be there. She also brought her non member husband and her granddaughter. She loved Primary. We are going to see her this week. Bill is doing good. The ward is going to ask him to participate in the Easter Program so that will be great. This area is doing good. We are finding those that want to learn about the Gospel. God has a plan for each of us to find his children. I am doing great. I love it here. Sister Ili is doing amazing. She is teaching and learning and really opening up.

Miracle: This week we have been finding on the dirt roads. It is fun. Well we decided to go finding after Church on Sunday in an area I haven't been too. We were walking and we were able to teach two other lessons and we were able to find 2 new potential investigators. Bill and Laura. They are very interested in the Book of Mormon. They had one at one time but cant find it. They invited us to come back and to share the book of Mormon with them. It was great. God does answer prayer.

Ponderizing Scripture: This week I have been Ponderizing Alma 34:32-34. It talks about not procrastinating the day of our repentance. I also was Ponderizing D&C 82:3. This one talks about how much is required and how if we sin we will receive greater condemnation.

Well I hope you all enjoy your week!!!
