Easter and Transfers- March 28, 2016

Hello Everyone. I Hope you all had a great Easter and week. I hope you all remembered what our Savior Jesus Christ did for us and how he atoned for all of our sins, sufferings, and temptations.

Well I am being transferred. :( It is hard to leave this area and ward. Yesterday was good but sad to say goodbye to everyone. The Easter Program was great. Bill Rose did a great job. It was a very touching meeting. Bill was able to Bless the Sacrament. I cried. the spirit was so strong. It made me realize God does have a plan for how long you are in a area. I know I was here to see him use his priesthood and bless the sacrament. It made me think of how proud heavenly father is to have him now part of his church. We had a great Easter. We had lunch with a family in the ward the Huffakers. Then we came home and made Easter eggs. It was fun. Sister Ili had a really good time.

This last week has been great. We were able to find a new investigator. Her name is Tina. She was a Former Investigator. She is great. She loves to learn and is going to read the Book of Mormon. Tina has even been to church, but it was a while ago. We are going to invite her to come again. We were able to share the Easter Video with several people. We have a potential named Jeanetta that was very excited to watch it. We are hoping to teach her and her family. We were also able to talk with several other potentials. Other then that everything is going good. I am sad that I am Leaving Lapeer but I know there are other plans in store for me.

Well I love you all!!

1 Year Temple Trip!!!  March 21, 2015

Hey everyone!!! I hope you had a great week/

This last week has been great. We taught 14 other lessons and most of them we used the Easter Initiative. It was amazing. We were able to show the Video to one of our investigators Cheryl. She really liked the video. We were also able to meet with Bill Rose this week and we talked about blessing the Sacrament and also receiving a Patriarchal Blessing. He is very interested in that. He is doing alright. We also met with Holly Heikkinen and Sister Robertson. They are doing good. We read the talk My heart Pondereth Continually with Sister Heikkinen, She really liked the talk. We invited her to ponder a scripture each week. At first she thought it was hard but then she was excited for it. With Sister Robertson we read the talk, Stay by the Tree, this talk helped her to pick a new ponderizing scripture. She had been wondering what one to study and this helped her to pick it. We also met with our new investigator John. We talked to him about the Book of Mormon. He was very interested in reading it. He is reading it. Yesterday was Ward conference and it was great. They talked about the importance of talking about our trials and addictions for the youth and also adults. They also talked about we must have faith to get through these things.I was also able to go to the temple with all the missionaries that I came out with. They call it 1 year temple trip. It was amazing.  The spirit is always so strong. The temple is the Lords house. After the temple we went to the Mission home and had lunch. Since it was St. Patrick's day we had green Mashed potatoes, green beans, Green salad, chicken cordon blue with green sauce. It was fun. I will send pictures when I get them!!!

Well I hope you all watched the Easter Initiative. It is a great video that gets us all ready for Easter. Here is the website again. followhim.mormon.org. It is called Hallelujah.

Ponderizing Scripture: Ether 12:6- And now, I, Moroni, would speak somewhat concerning these things; I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith.
This scripture talks about having faith and it will help us through our trials.

Well I hope you all have a great EASTER!! Remember our Savior and how he lives today!!
I love you all!!!

#Hallelujah- March 14, 2016

Hey everyone,

This last week has been great. We were able to see a lot of Less Actives and Potential Investigators. We were able to attend a Galantine Relief Society Party with Sister Robertson. She really had a good time. She was able to meet a lot of the relief society sister and to mingle and talk with them. We also was able to meet with Bill Rose this week and we talked about him Passing the Sacrament. He is super excited for this. He will be passing the sacrament later this month. We were also able to find a new investigator. Her name is Cheryl. She was a member referral. She needs some service and we are going to start teaching her about the gospel. We are very excited to see her this week. We also met a potential investigator John. He has met with the missionaries before and was super excited to have us come back. This week we were also able to see Erik Kellstrom. He was baptized last March and had been coming to church for a while but as of December he has been working a lot and hasn't been to church. The bishop asked us to go see him so we did. We are teaching him about the importance of church. It is going good. He is also starting to read from the Book of Mormon everyday. This week we were also able to meet with Peggy and Dick Reddaway. We helped them to get ready for spring. We helped them clean out their yard and clean their house. It is amazing what service can do.

Miracle: This last Tuesday, we were pretty open all day so we did a lot of finding. We decided to go by a Less Actives house to see if they were home. They weren't so we decided to go tracting around their house. We got to the last house and a guy named John answered the door. He was really interested in what we had to share. We talked about the Plan of Salvation and how God is our Heavenly Father. He was interested in us coming back this week. God does bless us if we turn to him for help.

Well yesterday the new Easter Initiative came out! So go check it out! It is called "HALLELUJAH" You can find it on Lds.org or on the Mormon channel. It is a great video to get us prepared for Easter.

Ponderizing Scripture: 3 Nephi 27:27- And know ye that ye‍ shall be judges‍ of this people, according to the judgment which I shall give unto you, which shall be just. Therefore, what manner‍ of men ought ye to be? Verily I say unto you, even as‍ I am.
This scripture talks about how we need to become as Jesus was and is.

Well I hope you all have a great week!!!

Zone Conference- March 7, 2016

Hey everyone, I hope you are all enjoying the weather. The weather in Michigan is Bipolar. It is sunny one day and snowy the next.

Anyways, this last week has been great. We were able to have Zone Conference. I really loved Zone Conference. It was amazing. I learned so much more about the savior and his atonement. President Gerber talked a lot about the Savior and His atonement. He talked about how he suffered for each of us, how we need to repent and come unto Christ and then we were able to walk the path Christ did when he was arrested and killed on Calvary. There were different stations that went through Christ's life and then his resurrection. It was really spiritual. I loved going to the different stages. We also talked about Finding and how we can implement different ideas into our areas. We have decided that we are going to go through the area book to look at Former Investigators and Potentials.

This week we were able to meet with Sister Robertson and talk with her about Ponderizing a scripture and we also read the talk "Is it still wonderful to you" She really enjoyed this talk. She knows the gospel and wants to come back, it is just hard for her financially. We are going to continue talking with her about putting her trust in God. She will be coming with us to the relief society conference. She is really excited.

Bill and Laura Close are doing alright. They are still having a hard time accepting and praying about Joseph Smith. We are going to try and use scriptures to tell about prophets and the need for one. Other then that we are doing good.

Miracle: This week we were shoveling snow for a couple elderly sisters in the ward, we got done and we drove pass a Less Actives house. The Moran's. We each felt impressed to stop by and shovel their snow. We haven't been able to talk with them because they are really busy working, so we thought this would be a great opportunity to meet them. We stated to shovel the snow and brother Moran came out and he was so thrilled that we had shoveled his snow. He then invited us in to talk with him and his wife. They told us that they were going to start coming back to church. There work schedules had changed and they wanted to come back. It was a great miracle that came through service.
Service can bring many miracles. God is great and aware of each of us. We need to turn to him and answers will come.

Ponderizing Scripture:

3 Nephi 11: 29-  For verily, verily I say unto you, he that hath the spirit of contention‍ is not of me, but is of the devil, who is the father of contention, and he stirreth up the hearts of men to contend with anger, one with another.

This scripture talks about how Satan is the father of contention. We need to not have contention in our life's and turn to Christ.

D&C 121:34-36- This scripture talks about how many are called and few are chosen. We need to have our hearts set upon God no the world.

Well I hope you all have a great week!!!

Love you all!!!
