8th Month Mark and Stake Conference- Oct. 26, 2015

Hey everyone I hope you all had a great week. Our week was very busy but so good.

Monday: We did our normal things and then we had dinner at a members house. The Ebers. They are super cute. They have 5 kids. Their little girl Savannah thinks me and Sister Parker are real sisters and always asks us why we are sisters. It is super cute. Anyways we got to have family home evening with them. It was so much fun. The little kids love the gospel and love to tell you about it. After that we went and saw Bill our investigator. We read the talk Desire by Elder Oaks. It is a great talk. Then we committed him to be baptized on November 21. So that was super exciting.

Tuesday: We went and helped Peggy with getting her boat ready for winter. It was great. She really loves when we come and help her out. I love serving others it makes us all feel so good. Then we were walking to go finding and it poured rain. It was fun but no one really was home or answered the door.

Wednesday: We had District Meeting. I love them. Sister Parker gave an instruction on bearing testimony more often. We learned that bearing a testimony can be the simple things. I know that God is our Heavenly Father. I really like this instruction. We have been trying to use it more often in our teachings. Then we went contacting at Meijer and we did some training.

Thursday: We went and helped a member in our ward Sister Holmquiest with some service. We helped her clean her room, and her kitchen. She hasn't been doing so well. It was nice to help her out. Then we went and met with our investigator Arlene. She is Diane's Mom. We talked to her about the importance of the Book of Mormon and how it can help her in her life. She has been ready a little bit at a time. She likes to read it. It was a great lesson.

Friday: We did our normal weekly planning. We are on week 4 of this transfer it is crazy how time goes by so fast. After that we did a lot of finding. We walked around and talked to several people. Then we did some contacting at The Salvation Army. It was different by fun.

Saturday: We first went to Metamora to see Diane. We talked about The Book of Mormon and how it has helped us in our life's, we talked about how it is the Keystone of our religion and that it helps bring us closer to God. Then we went and saw Holly. She is a Less Active in our ward. We talked about our desire to change and come back. We also talked about how we can help her out. After that we went to Sister Robertson's house. We read the talk Great Aunt Rose with her. She really enjoyed it. We talked about having faith that things will work out. If we turn to God and let him guide our life's. Then we went to Stake Conference the Adult Session. They talked about the Ward council and how it works and how we can become part of it. It was a great meeting.

Sunday: We got up and headed to Stake Conference. The speakers were great. They talked about anchoring ourselves to Christ and to have the Holy Ghost present in our life's. I really enjoyed the talks. I learned a lot about having the Holy Ghost and how we can always have it as a guide and to listen to the promptings. Then we came home and studies and went to visit a older couple in the ward. They have both been recovering from surgeries. We made them cookies. It was great.
Well HAPPY HALLOWEEN everyone!!! I hope you are all safe!!
